Open during the summer months, the Railway Heritage Center recalls the history of the Newfoundland Railway, as well as local history.  You can take a guided tour through the train, walk through the museum, or purchase locally made souvenirs in the gift shop.  Two special exhibits at the museum are the Astrolabes - late medieval navigational instruments dating back to the 1600's, found in nearby shipwrecks. Also on the property, you can find the start of Newfoundland's section of the Trans Canada Trail.
